The champagne's a bit flat.

In need of somewhere to discuss a bit of strategy after a day with our board, Julian and I thought we'd grab a quick glass of champagne at St Pancras's new, longest in Europe, champagne bar. What a dissappointment.

Far from being the happening destination from which adventures start, it was a cold, stale affair with disinterested staff who directed us the wrong way for a seat.

I've revelled in the transformation of St Pancras into an international hub. It's a shame the social centrepiece hasn't embrace the vision.
